Wireless Radiation Impacts Children More Severely Than Adults
Children are at greater risk from wireless radiation for many reasons. They have smaller heads than adults. Cell phones and wireless radiation can go deeper into their brains because children have a shorter distance from their skull to their brain center. Government regulations were based on a 220-pound man’s head, not a child’s head. Our skulls actually slow down wireless as it moves into our brain. The thicker the skull, the more roadblocks to the wireless radiation moving forward. Since children have much thinner skulls than adults, they have less protection. Research shows that children can absorb up to ten times the radiation in the bone marrow of their skulls than adults.
“Children are not little adults and are disproportionately impacted by all environmental exposures, including cell phone radiation. Current FCC standards do not account for the unique vulnerability and use patterns specific to pregnant women and children. It is essential that any new standard for cell phones or other wireless devices be based on protecting the youngest and most vulnerable populations to ensure they are safeguarded throughout their lifetimes.”- American Academy of Pediatrics

Safety Precautions and Tips for Parents
During the pandemic, children are on their devices for longer periods. Here are some ideas and websites you may find useful.
(From Cece Doucette of Ashland Massachusetts, thank you Cece, for your amazing dedication and research!)
To help with time management, these tips may be useful:
-
Russian scientists have been far ahead of the U.S. with wireless radiation research and know the harm of both wireless technology and excessive screen time. They, along with their health authority, were quick to issue Safety Recommendations for Children Who Use Digital Technologies to Study at Home.

If anyone suspects digital addiction is taking hold, see Dr. Victoria Dunkley's Reset Your Child's Brain for a four-week protocol to get them back.

I keep this sign next to my desk, 50 Ways to Take a Break. It may give parents some good ideas for getting kids and adults off screens. Let the kids decide which activity they are going to choose. Maybe cut the flyer up and have everyone draw an activity out of a hat at different intervals throughout the day to make it fun and spontaneous!

During Q&A at the EMF Conference for health care providers, I asked about grounding in the dead of New England winters where it's not practical to get outside barefoot.
Since then, Dr. Laura Koniver has written a new book called The Earth Prescription. I was delighted to see she takes it season by season and offers dozens of terrific ways to do natural grounding throughout the year. There are loads of fun activities to keep families connected, and connected to the Earth for its important healing energy. Have the kids/parents choose among the ways to ground daily.

Ensure the children have chores to do and are helping to pick up the slack around the house, especially if parents are working from home. Let them take over age-appropriate meal preparations (have them thumb through a recipe book for ideas), do laundry, dishes, tidy up, vacuum, water plants, weed, etc. Hee hee, if you're feeling brave, let them be Parent for the Day...
